Logitech MX Master 3 Advanced Wireless Mouse

This mouse can be solution to mouse arm syndrome / shoulder pain problems, anyway it helped me. I had pain in wrist, elbow and shoulder because of much time I was spending using computer mouse (generic cable computer mouse), and after I started using MX Master 3, the problems disappeared.

Logitech MX Master 3 mouse is very universal, can be switched between up to 3 computers and – because it is hand-sculpted – thumb can be a bit higher, not rested on table. This small difference changes your arm rotation in elbow and this can make huge difference in terms of strain on your handc.

Before purchase of the mouse I was using generic cable connected computer mouse. However, I spend much time with computer, and for graphics I use computer mouse a lot, and eventually I got wrist/arm shoulder problems (pain). The first thought was to replace the cable generic mouse with special, vertical version. But, after deep research I found that it may be a bit problematic in my case, especially that I use laptop in cafe shops, so small mouse requiring small space is important requirement.

Did it help for arm strain problems? Yes, the pain is gone. The game is not a special medical version. The game changer in the design of the mouse is the thumb rest, nicely profiled, which keeps your thumb higher than “normal”. This small difference, making small difference in elbow rotation (you cannot rotate wrist) made huge improvement in arm comfort.

  • the mouse can be connected to computer via USB cable or Bluetooth
  • no need for batteries – recharges quickly via USB cable, and when charged it lasts, no complains at all
  • you can connect it separately to up to 3 different computers – i.e. iPad, Laptop, iMac
  • the mouse has additional programmable buttons/wheel – if for some reason you need it
  • very good “feel” both for shape and buttons/wheels mechanical interface
  • very good, cheap case for the mouse is available (link below), excellent solutions if you need portability

The special app for the mouse was not working properly, used unusual amount of CPU resources, so I removed it, and use the mouse without the special app.

Conclusion: the mouse is a good investment not only for your productivity, but also for health. Obviously, some problems like carpal tunnel syndrome or shoulder pain problems can eventually be removed by surgery. But, the best approach is to do something what is possible, to avoid surgery.
